Allen, Randy, and Myself are so very Thankful for the huge Success of our 1st WineTasting at TheLanding. It would not have been possible without TeamWork. Many thanks goes out to the wine reps Kathy and Chris. They both provided an array of wines from the Companies they each represent. There to photograph was Angie of SunSet Images, and Diane of Barefoot Photo. Thank you both so much for capturing the beauty of this event. Sonjana with Something Borrowed Something Blue, provided a variety of their outstandingly beautiful Linens . And Sally from Florals By The Sea added Candles, Lanterns, and gorgeous Ivory Hydrangea's. Thanks hardly does justice to the amazing work these two did to transform TheLanding into a room fit for any girls FairyTale wedding Venue.
Our Thanks also go out to our own Staff at ParadiseCuisine. Chefs Joyce and Dudley, Bartender -the amazing Cher, and two of our head Servers Rita and Maria. We certainly appreciate the Wedding Planners who attended, including Amanda from Ocean Breeze Weddings, Pam and Kathy from Carillon Beach Weddings, and Stephanie from Savoir-Faire Weddings. I can't end without saying how important our friends are to us. Thank You so much Ms. Ester, you never let us down, and Thank you Susan Rau, for supporting us and for bringing your Family. (hope you and Ricky have a wonderful vaca in Alaska)
Hopefully by my next blog we will have something new and exciting to tell you about. Hint- Allen is meeting with Sunshine Shuttle, a company that services major venues like Carillon ,Rosemary, and Alys Beaches. Could some kind of Package Deal be in the works for TheLanding?

The Caterer and the Beach
It has certainly been an interesting week along some of the world's most beautiful beaches. Just yesterday Jason Aldean of country music fame, was at a Walton County beach with Double red flags flying for rough surf. Yea, you guessed it, he went in the gulf any way. He is ok but his wallet is a little lighter after being fined by Walton Counties finest. He lit up Twitter after posting about his experience and the fine. Being a big fan of his I really am glad he is okay, because just days before several people drown here along our Emerald Coast due to the severe rip tides.
Over the past weekend a tropical monsoon type storm moved thru while we were setting up for a Wedding Reception at RoseMary Beach. Thought sure we were going to loose a tent or two to the wind, but our crew along with others were able to get it all secured. By the time the Bride, Groom, and guests arrived the worst of the storm had passed. Cocktail Hour and our Raw Oyster Bar was a giant hit amoung the guests. My man Steve, shucking those Appalachicola Bay Oysters was truly a site to behold. He held guests in awe as he told his many stories. Later we presented three delectible Food Stations that offered something for every palet.
On two different days as I traveled acros the Clyde Wells Bridge I caught glimpses of Dolphins playing in the bay. That made going to work more enjoyable! Spent part of my time this week at TheLanding, and checking out other venues on and near the beach. Seems to me nothing compares to TheLanding, with our indoor dinning and bar, and our outdoor dinning and double bar, and then there is even more dinning around that uniquely shaped pool. A little off the beaten path, but well worth it. Keep us in mind for your next special event.
We have this weekend off as far as Catering an event goes. Allen and Randy went out of town for a long weekend. I thought that maybe the mouse could play while the cats were away, but don't you know Allen loaded me up with meetings and such while he is gone.Oh well, I do love my job at Paradise Cuisine, it's not like work at all. What can we Cater for you?

Introducing Your Next Caterer
As a co-cowner of ParadiseCuisineCatering, I can truly say that my business partner/ brother has worked very hard to make this company what it is today. He started our company 10 years ago and has never once looked backed. I (Mary) started helping him as an employee on day one, and bought my way in four years later. We got our start in the catering industry by working for another caterer. When she retired, she told Allen that we were good enough to go out on our own, and that is just what we did. Allen handles the office end and I help with the actual event.
