The Caterer and the Beach

It has certainly been an interesting week along some of the world's most beautiful beaches. Just yesterday Jason Aldean of country music fame, was at a Walton County beach with Double red flags flying for rough surf. Yea, you guessed it, he went in the gulf any way. He is ok but his wallet is a little lighter after being fined by Walton Counties finest. He lit up Twitter after posting about his experience and the fine. Being a big fan of his I really am glad he is okay, because just days before several people drown here along our Emerald Coast due to the severe rip tides.

Over the past weekend a tropical monsoon type storm moved thru while we were setting up for a Wedding Reception at RoseMary Beach. Thought sure we were going to loose a tent or two to the wind, but our crew along with others were able to get it all secured. By the time the Bride, Groom, and guests arrived the worst of the storm had passed. Cocktail Hour and our Raw Oyster Bar was a giant hit amoung the guests. My man Steve, shucking those Appalachicola Bay Oysters was truly a site to behold. He held guests in awe as he told his many stories. Later we presented three delectible Food Stations that offered something for every palet.

On two different days as I traveled acros the Clyde Wells Bridge I  caught glimpses of Dolphins playing in the bay. That made going to work more enjoyable! Spent part of my time this week at TheLanding, and checking out other venues on and near the beach. Seems to me nothing compares to TheLanding, with our indoor dinning and bar, and our outdoor dinning and double bar, and then there is even more dinning around that uniquely shaped pool. A little off the beaten path, but well worth it. Keep us in mind for your next special event.

We have this weekend off as far as Catering an event goes. Allen and Randy went out of town for a long weekend. I thought that maybe the mouse could play while the cats were away, but don't you know Allen loaded me up with meetings and such while he is gone.Oh well, I do love my job at Paradise Cuisine, it's not like work at all. What can we Cater for you?
